IT Spending and Small Business

by Joanie Mann, director of cloud services

Gartner says that global IT spending will reach $3.8 trillion this year. The dynamics of which areas drive growth in business IT spending are changing, with mobile phones, PCs and on-premises systems slowing and cloud services and IoT (Internet of Things) device numbers growing.

Cloud is a critical aspect of modern IT delivery and represents a continued shift in focus from purely internal IT management to a greater reliance on outsourced platform, infrastructure and systems management.

Continuing the trend from 2018, much of the enterprise application budget is shifting from purchased licensing and premises-based implementation to SaaS models and subscription services. These outsourced software and service arrangements have gained a firm hold as fundamental tools for enterprise business because they provide capability that often proves too costly to produce internally.

IT is no longer just a platform that enables organizations to run their business on.
It is becoming the engine that moves the business,
As digital business and digital business ecosystems move forward, IT will be the thing that binds the business together.
John-David Lovelock research vice president at Gartner

Where SaaS adoption in enterprise is increasing, small businesses often remain tied to the desktop software solutions that represent the foundation for business operations.

These solutions may become increasingly complex to implement and manage as they adopt new database technologies and web architectures.

Outsourcing IT systems and management to cloud service providers is the solution to the problem of increasing IT complexity.

For smaller businesses, IT outsourcing plays a particularly important role because it allows an organization to focus on its core operations and the activities that generate revenue.

In a typical small business there is a great deal of time spent performing non-strategic tasks like computer, software and network maintenance. While the business could not operate without the IT resources, the purchase, setup and ongoing management of the systems is more effectively outsourced to a cloud platform service like NOOBEH.

Let our professionals deploy the servers and software for the business and take advantage of the Microsoft Azure cloud that delivers unparalleled scalability and flexibility.

NOOBEH builds and manages your cloud solution so you can focus on what really matters – building your business.
