When you have a tamed horse, it is relatively easy to ride. It is very pleasant to be on a horse that is walking, not so comfortable to be on a horse when trotting, and a wonderful experience when the horse is galloping. It is pretty much the same in QuickBooks.

Many think that it is easy to use QuickBooks – the software maker certainly helps a lot with that assumption, promoting how you can take charge of your business and be up and running in minutes. It might be easy to use QuickBooks if you do not know what you are doing. But truth is that not much will be accomplished. In other words, you will not get too far. Same as being on a horse that is walking. It’s easy but you will not go too far.

It is not so easy if you are trying to do more with QuickBooks but do not know how, just like it is somewhat painful to be on a trotting horse – lots of painful bouncing around for which your body will not be thankful.

And it is a great experience to know what you are doing in QuickBooks and be able to do complex things, just like it is super comfortable and a great joy to be on a galloping horse. And it gets you farther with less pain. Literally.

Bottom line, realize where you are in terms of QuickBooks knowledge and get the right help to get you to a galloping stage!
