In 2016, Microsoft introduced a financial software solution for small to medium-sized organizations – what today is known as Dynamics 365 Business Central. Not surprisingly, it is powerful because it is built on the same engine as its big brother Microsoft financial solutions. Dynamics 365 Business Central is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) ERP application that appropriately scales functionality for growing businesses. Because it is technically sound and very robust in terms of features, this is Microsoft’s successful foray into small and midsize business (SMB) financial products, and it is something which we have been keeping an eye on since its inception.
For the past several years, we have been working with Microsoft on building awareness of Dynamics 365 Business Central. Being part of Microsoft’s foray in SMB accounting software afforded us access to information about the ERP’s capabilities and development roadmap, which is why we see it on the same playing field with other SMB solutions, including QuickBooks, with much greater features and functionality.
Being a pioneer in the QuickBooks consulting space since the early 2000’s, we have come to recognize when companies show signs of outgrowing their QuickBooks for financial and operational needs.
